Exposure to high noise levels while working with cellar operation. Exposure to inclement seasonal weather, summer heat, cold weather, rain. Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments exposure to wet or humid conditions. Schedule is very dependent on the time of year and demands of our clients. There will be times when there will be longer days/weeks required, especially during bottling and grape crush.

This is a non-exempt, hourly, full time, usually 40 hours per week, 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday). Spanish speaking or Bilingual is preferred.Individuals selected for this position must be reliable, punctual and have good work ethic.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Good communication and listening skills.Good reading, writing and basic math is required.Forklift certification and ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.Ability to work overtime and extended hours.Adheres to all safety, food safety policies and GMP procedures, including but not limited to timely and accurate reporting of all work-related injuries and illnesses to the Department Supervisor, promoting safety awareness to co-workers, advising the Supervisor of any unsafe acts, conditions or behaviors and wearing required personal protective equipment.Used down time productively by working on assigned projects or assisting other team members.Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.Maintains the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation.Pressure washing winery floors and tank exteriors.Loading and unloading equipment from trucks and trailers.Following and observing all safe cellar practices.Making chemical additions to juice and wine.Racking and pumping of juice and wine moving hoses and equipment.Assists cellar team with daily production goals.The Cellar Technician assists with duties relating to the winemaking process, operates machinery and other equipment, carries out work orders, moves stock, performs general winery housekeeping duties, and carries out all orders effectively, efficiently and with a positive attitude. The Cellar Technician performs assigned work functions within Cellar Department.
